    IDB - Human Resources Principal or Lead Specialist
    Background : The Human Resources Department (HRD) is responsible for the administration and development of the human resources in the IADB Group. It also oversees the implementation of the 'Human Capital Strategy', building and implementing programs and methodologies in direct support of our results-based business model, and focusing on the development of the Bank's talent and technical skills capacity. Working with us you will be surrounded by a diverse group of people who have years of experience in all types of development fields, including transportation, health, gender and diversity, communications and much more.
    The team : The IDB Group's HRD business aligned team provides direct services to IDB Invest to support the entire employee lifecycle from sourcing to retirement (e.g., recruitment, hiring, staffing actions, career development, training, talent management, performance management, rewards and recognition, compensation, benefit services and payroll).
    In this role, you will help define and implement IDB Invest's organizational and talent strategy, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Chief Finance and Administration Officer, providing direction to initiatives that support the growth and effective operation of the business, leading specific projects and/or internally coordinating the various IDB Invest Departments in the particular strategic initiatives.
    What you'll do :
    • Provide advice to the Senior Management Team (SMT) of IDB Invest on a strategy to attract and retain a diverse and high potential workforce, in close collaboration with HRD.
    • Advise the SMT on how to best allocate resources and personnel.
    • Evaluate the impact of organizational/human resources changes introduced on performance, efficiency, and employee retention/satisfaction.
    • Evaluate organizational capabilities and identify gaps.
    • Lead the execution of projects and initiatives for workforce planning and management, and Field Presence.
    • Identify and implement best in class methodologies in workforce management.
    • Support management in the creation of a succession plan for critical roles.

    • Periodically analyze the corporate culture and recommend Institutional/Departmental actions to ensure all parts are working together as a whole.
    • Assist Departments in restructuring efforts to align department activities with overall business goals.
    • Support supervision of the Service-Level Agreement with the IDB Group's Human Resources Department, assess service quality, identify and propose opportunities for improvement.
    • Monitor talent management processes (recruitment, performance management, training and development, rewards & recognition, and promotions) together with the HRBPs.
    • Assess training and development needs, jointly with HRD and the Knowledge, Innovation and Communications Sector.
    Skills you'll need:
    • Education : You hold a Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal, Finance, Accounting or another related field.
    • Experience : You have at least 10 years of professional experience in a multinational environment in one of the following fields: Strategic and Business Consulting, Organizational Design and Change Management, Process Improvement and Efficiency, Project Management and Human Resources. Experience in interlocution with CEOs, Boards of Directors and Management Committees. Experience in the following areas will be particularly valued: leadership in organizational change projects, management and workforce analysis, talent management strategies, and creation of corporate culture.
    • Experience in management consulting and business administration a plus.
    • Languages: You are proficient in oral and written in English and Spanish.

    Opportunity Summary:

    Requirements: Candidates must be citizens of one of the IDB's 48 member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
