    At the EBRD, we make our decisions driven by data with the greatest degree of confidence. We want actionable insights, accessible to decision makers (both business stakeholders and members of the Human Resources & Corporate Services teams) to help solve business problems. The role of the Analyst, Human Resources & Corporate Services Data & Analytics, is to be a liaison among the teams within the department and to act as a point of contact for data-driven innovation. The role holder will dive in into the data and, after assessing the needs of the teams, will act as a catalyst by identifying the growth opportunities, through facilitating the brainstorming process and following the implementation of the project, from its birth to the yielding of benefits.
    The role holder will support the full suite of innovation tools, using EBRD's business intelligence toolsets or new ones.
    Background
    The Analyst, Human Resources & Corporate Services Data & Analytics will work closely with the internal stakeholders of the Human Resources & Corporate Services team to deliver improvements to the bank's existing capabilities using innovation and data.
    Specifically:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their specific use case(s) and current shortfalls in their existing practices
    • Discern the information and the processes business stakeholders need to improve (including important contextual information and critical points of comparison) to reach the decisions they are required to make
    • Become a trusted source of data for stakeholders - providing timely analysis and insight where possible
    • Consult data owners to understand current business processes and systems
    • Identify any gaps in bank processes where data is not accurately recorded and used
    • Present information in a way that communicates key messages clearly and without distraction (i.e. the 'rules' of data visualisation are applied to the way the data is presented in a manner that can be quickly examined and understood
    Accountabilities & Responsibilities
    Deliver Improvements to the Human Resources & Corporate Services Reporting Capability
    • Responsible for understanding bank processes both internal and external and presenting appropriate reporting solutions
    • Required to coordinate activities across different IT teams to deliver data from the source system into the data warehouse and onto Human Resources & Corporate Services teams reports.
    • Carry out user acceptance testing to support the business stakeholders
    • Conduct design reviews with end users and consult data owners to iteratively improve reporting relevance and impact
    Provide Business Stakeholders with Analysis and Insight

    • Where gaps exist in the current Human Resources & Corporate Services reporting platform, the Analyst, Human Resources & Corporate Services Data Analytics will provide detailed accurate analysis for stakeholders
    • From understanding of the data the Analyst will be expected to offer additional insights into trends for stakeholders
    Drive continuous improvement
    • Proactively identify gaps in the current Human Resources & Corporate Services reporting platforms and highlight possible solutions
    • Drive improvements in data quality by monitoring reporting of existing business processes mapped into the data warehouse
    Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
    Essential
    • A strong analytical orientation coupled with strong data manipulation skills to be able to: (i) extract and manipulate large amounts of unstructured data, (ii) understand how individual pieces of data relate to and influence one another (ii) hypothesise and test patterns from data statically.
    • Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques
    • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with key individuals in the business specifically: (i) effective questioning and active listening (ii) the ability to challenge constructively and courageously; in order to determine business requirements
    • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy
    • Demonstrate ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through on completion of projects
    • Demonstrate ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams
    Preferable
    • Academic degree in a related field or experience during the studies in projects involving data analysis. Previous experience of using Tableau, Python, RR, Alteryx are preferable
    • Demonstrable business experience and a commercial orientation
