    Guest relations officer - Outstanding Solutions LTD

    Job Summary

    A hotel in Arusha is looking for Guest relations officers, to review the managers’ organizer and assist preparing and distributing welcome amenities.
    • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor
    • Experience Level: Mid level
    • Experience Length: 2 years

    Job Description

     Guest relations officer, will also be in charge of Planning, coordinating and supervising activities for guests. Conduct sales at the gift shop and receive payments from restaurant/bar. Process relevant statistics about clientele.

    Main Responsibilities
    • Create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with all external customers and in-house guests in order to anticipate their needs.
    • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.

    Specific Responsibilities
    • Assist with check-ins/check-outs
    • Give personal recognition to guests.
    • Receive and answer company phone calls in a timely and polite manner.
    • Schedule activities for guests.
    • Receive payments from restaurant/bar/gift shop.
    • Organize/issue/process bills payments on POS.
    • Organize the gift shop displays.
    • Assist all departments in being receptive to guests needs.
    • Provide feedback from guests to managers.
    • Anticipate guests needs, handle guest queries and solve problems.
    • Update and help maintain accurate Guest Data.
    • To receive complains and submit them to the Duty Manager and General Manager.

    Training and Development
    • Participate in regular appraisal meetings.
    • Identify a programme of personal training and development.
    • Participate in evaluation processes, reviewing personal development against achievement of Business Objectives.

     Minimum Qualifications
    • English language proficiency, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
    • Proven experience as guest relations officer
    • Customer oriented and professional attitude
    • Excellent organisation and time management skills

    Preferred Qualities
    • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards
    • An outgoing personality
