We are seeking an experienced APS 5/6 Graphic Designer for a 6 month contract position. This is an excellent opportunity for you to work within a Federal Government Department and utilise your creative skills.
Your new role
In this role, you will work with studio managers to develop original design concepts and undertake a broad range of print, web and promotional design jobs. You will coordinate the scheduling of design work and liaise with internal clients, as well as other areas within the Department. As the Graphic Designer, you will also develop comprehensive project briefs and detailed timelines, as well as accurate quote requests and product specifications for printers and other suppliers in consultation with customers. Hence, you will be required to maintain successful relationships with customers and liaise with external providers to ensure successful outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be an excellent communicator and have advanced organisational and technical skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure will be valuable in this position. You will apply your expert knowledge of government and program brand guidelines and principles as well as hold a tertiary qualification in Graphic Design and more than 3 years’ experience working in a busy design studio.
