The Fiscal Affairs Department is looking for a qualified candidate to fill an Economist/Senior Economist vacancy in its Public Financial Management 1 Division (M1).
The successful candidate for this position will be expected to participate in technical assistance diagnostic and review missions in a wide range of countries, and to advise on and develop reform plans in one or more of the following public financial management (PFM) areas
Qualifications
Educational development, including and/or supplemented by work experience, typically acquired through the completion of an advanced university degree in economics, is required.
In addition, given the specialized nature of the division's work, it is essential that applicants have considerable first-hand knowledge of public financial management practices in different countries, and preferably some experience of reforming PFM systems and processes.
It is also highly desirable for applicants to have sound working knowledge of Fund policies and processes and experience delivering technical assistance in the PFM area to a wide range of countries.

- Cash and debt management
- Internal control and external audit
- Sub-national fiscal oversight
Qualifications
