    Totohealth is a social enterprise based in Moshi town, Kilimanjaro Region. Totohealth aims to contribute towards reaching Tanzania’s national vision of ending preventable maternal and child deaths by 2035. We offer a set of services available over the span of pregnancy, delivery and up to 5 years of a child’s life. Our package of solutions include (1) information, education and communication (IEC) through a interactive text messaging platform, (2) lifesaving products including a comprehensive Clean Delivery Kit (CDK) to be used at delivery, and (3) Newborn Survival Pack (NSP) with applicable supplies for the mother and for newborn survival for first month of life. All these services are implemented in partnership with local District Government Departments, organisations & NGOs with mothers as clients. Our goals is to support Community Health Workers (CHWs) that are linked to these organisations to better provide IEC, continuum of care at household level, and get mothers to deliver with the help of a skilled birth attendant (at a health facility), and have access to the products they need at health-facility and household level.

    Role:Sales Representative

    Position Reports To:COO

    Position description The role of the Sales Representative is to make sales at field level. They will be expected to identify parents and recruit them into the SMS platform. They will use several tactics such as Community Health Workers, train them, and support them in recruiting expecting women, newly delivered women, women with children under the age of 5 years. Other strategies will include direct sales, activations, market-day awareness, church and customer account sales. Sales Representatives will also be expected to conduct sales and distribution of CDKs and NSP at facility level and train health care providers on the management and distribution of these products.

    Responsibilities

    Recruit mothers (and fathers) onto Totohealth SMS platform at village/community level
    Conduct sales and marketing activities as per strategy to meet the companies business objectives and create social impact
    Conduct sales of NSPs and the sales of CDKs at health facility-level and public institutions
    Ensure products are always available, timely distributed, stored and managed well at the facility level
    Conduct sensitization meetings & trainings with village leadership, Ward Executive Officer, Health facility staff and Community Health Workers (CHW)
    Liaise with District Community Health Coordinator to identify CHW trained in MNCH
    Conduct training and refresher training for CHW on the recruitment of clients (‘sales’).
    Conduct sensitization meeting of Health Care Providers to introduce the program
    Train health care providers on accountability application and recruitment of clients
    Support the distribution of CDKs and NSP at health facility
    Point of contact for CHWs and health care providers supporting the program
    Support all key company activities and tasks as deemed appropriate

    Position description

    The Research and Development Officer (R&D) will support Totohealth in all Research activities from field coordination and planning, tools development, data collection, data management, data cleaning, analysis and report writing. Research which will be conducted will include formative research to inform program and product design, field testing SMS disability content, monitoring of SMS help desk, piloting of CDKs and NSPs in 4 health facilities and monitoring and evaluation of the program.

    Responsibilities

    Secure consent from District and Regional health authorities to do field testing and piloting
    Conduct sensitization meetings with village leadership, Ward Executive Officer, Health facility staff and Community Health Workers (CHW) on Totohealth’s program
    Coordinate and oversee all research activities in the field ensuring ethical code of conduct
    Conduct market research, product and customer enquiries including client satisfaction surveys, desk reviews and other reviews on a needs basis
    Develop data collection tools and design data management and reporting systems
    Develop M&E plan for Totohealth and execute on reporting as per requirements
    Train field researchers on tools and data collection protocol for Totohealth
    Supervise field research to conduct data collection, data cleaning, data management and data entry

    Position description

    The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will lead, administer and coordinate all of the internal operational activities of Totohealth Tanzania in accordance with policies, goals and objectives established by the Board and management team.     Position description

    The Finance Manager is part of the Senior Management team, will report to the Country Manager, and manage the Accountant & Admin Officer. Manages overall finance function to ensure compliance with legislation and requirements. Drives and develops MIS, reporting, and leading cashflow & balance sheet management in order to support the achievement of business objectives and strategies; forward looking cash flow planning and take action on it. Develop strategic relationship with key financial, investors & statutory stakeholders as well as sound financial & tax planning. Gives guidance and training to all company staff.

    Responsibilities

    Prepare the yearly budget & planning cycles.
    Lead all financial (& statutory) obligations for compliance under TRA & other relevant government departments, ensuring that all activities & operations are performed in compliance with national & regional regulations & laws governing business operations
    Manage cash flow according budget and act on it if needed. Also taking into account FX difficulties and misalignments.
    Compile financials BS / CF / P&L & other MIS.
    Liaise with & develop strategic relationships with financial lending & investment institutions to optimize the capital structure of the company, develop & raise expansion capital from competitive sources to support company strategy execution, & ensure internal performance monitoring of major capital investments.
    Co-develop Business Plans together with Country Manager and Business Developer & review subsidy or funding proposals
    Manage quality of: Administration of incoming Invoices, accounts payable, aging accounts, payment of invoices on agreed terms, accounts receivable, cash books, etc.
    Develop, recommend and manage financial policies for: budgeting, forecasting, tax planning & cash planning, cash handling, expenses processes to ensure sound financial controls.

    Develop appropriate Micro-Credit facilities. Install proper cash receivable procedures. Ensure proper customer re-payment overviews are made. Make clear overviews of payment plans, payments according to payment plans (either M-Pesa or Cash) and act on defaulting installments.
    Regularly review together with the management team, cost overviews, cost analysis, and proposed way forward (& Ledger Accounts details) to be able to analyze and drive down costs.
    Review contracting and procurement processes
    Manage Accountant & Admin Officer so they fulfill their roles and growth targets
    Provide Management Information to the weekly management meeting (e.g. aging accounts overviews, bank, finance contracts overviews, forward looking cash flow).
