    OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
    The Information Technology Group (ITG) provides a range of Information and Communication Technology services to programmes at the Regional Office level as well as to WHO country offices. This includes the responsibility of formulation, implementation and coordination of IT policies across the Region and ensuring the efficient and effective provision of information and communication services in a geographically large and challenging environment.
    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
    Under the guidance of the Information Technology Officer (NPO), incumbent will perform the following functions, in accordance with ITG's policies and guidelines:
    • Analyze, design, develop, test, monitor and maintain new and existing computer applications and services;
    • Assist business analysts in developing WHO standard applications;
    • Assist business analysts in testing applications; and
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Education
    Essential: Graduation from secondary school with formal training in information technology and its applications.
    Desirable: University degree and/or certifications in information technology.
    Experience
    Essential: Minimum of five years' experience in application development including experience in VS 2015+, MVC, AngularJS, ASP. NET, ADO. NET, JSON and SQL Server 2012+ (T-SQL) and SharePoint, or four years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant field.
    Desirable:
    Skills
    Knowledge of application development and operations. Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g. Sharepoint, workflows, MVC, AngularJS, json, etc.) and ability to learn and apply new technical skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work harmoniously as a member of a team, adapt to diverse educational and cultural backgrounds and maintain a high standard of personal conduct.

    REMUNERATION
    WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at PHP 526,998 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
