The Roads Fund Board is Government
Institution under the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication
established by the Roads and Fuel tolls Act, CAP 220 of 2006. The Board
invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the,
following vacancy.
1. Deputy Manager- Finance And Administration
(i) Job Summary
The position requires high level of leadership, managerial professional skills, decision making and integrity. (ii) Duties and responsibilities
a) He/she will be responsible and accountable to the Roads Fund Manager on Finance management, Human Resources Development and Administration and IT administration of the Roads Fund Board.
b) Responsible for planning and control of financial and accounting operations of the Roads Fund Board
c) Ensuring that financial, human resources and administration policies are adhered to;
d) Supervising and maintaining acceptable standards of discipline
e) Preparation of Budget of the Roads Fund Board
f) Supervise and monitor operations of the Fund
g) Ensure disbursement of funds to Implementing agencies’
h) Prepare and submit reports on timely basis to relevant authorities as required by relevant legislations
i) Apply the money deposited into the Roads Fund Board account for purposes approved by the Parliament
j) Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Roads Fund Manager
(iii) Qualifications and experience
Holder of a Master’s Degree in Financial Management or Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. He/she must be registered as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA – T) with a post qualification working experience of not less than eight (8) years of which three (3) years should be in a managerial level Working experience in the Road sector and risk analysis and management will be an added advantage.
(iv) Personal attributes
He/she should be able to work diligently after office hours promote team work, comprehend and communicate effectively priotize and execute tasks in high pressure environment
(v) Remuneration
Attractive salary and fringe benefits will be paid depending on qualifications and experience.
(vi) Terms of engagement
Terms of employment will be five year contract (renewable) based on mutual agreement and once. Age limit for applicants is 55 years as at 01/07/2016. The Roads Fund Board is an equal opportunity employer hence women are highly encouraged to apply.

2. PRINCIPAL ENGINEER II – RE-ADVERTISED 1 post (Dar es Salaam)
(i) Qualifications and Experience:
Holder of Master Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution. He/she must be registered as a Professional Engineer, with a post registration working experience of at least nine (9) years in a reputable institution in the road sector. Experience in the road management systems will be an added advantage.
(II) Main Duties and Responsibilities
Among the duties and responsibilities that he /she will be required to perform are:-
(a) To coordinate the preparation of performance agreements between the Roads Fund Board and the implementing Agencies;
(b) To review progress reports from Implementing Agencies and assess their compliance with : performance agreements;
(c) To supervise monitoring of the implementation of road works by the Agencies/local Authorities;
(d) To coordinate the preparation and implementation of strategic plan;
(e) To review annual programmes budget and action plan of Implementing Agencies and advise ‘} accordingly;
(f) To coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly reports of the Roads Fund Board and;
(g) To perform such other related duties as may be assigned.
(iii) Personal attributes
He/she should be able to work diligently long after office hours, promote team work, to III comprehend and communicate, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure a: environment.
(iv)Terms of engagement
