IT Technician's job in an All Girl School in the Eastern Suburbs on a permanent basis

Your new company 
This role is with a prestigious All Girls School based in the eastern suburbs. This organisation plays an important role within the community and is a permanent position. This school has approx 600+ students at its current campus.

Your new role 
Your new role in the school will be to provide Desktop Support as part of the schools ICT team.

• Provide technical level 2-3 support to the schools infrastructure and network system
• Assist in the creation, maintenance and deployment of SOE images
• Installation and deployment of software over the network, records for all software licences and ensuring all licensing laws
• Assist in the management, maintenance and deployment of all servers and systems including VMware servers, SQL database, software, SAN, network equipment and patch management
• Monitoring of network equipment, such as switches, wireless hardware and software to maintain a high level of network availability for student and staff
• Provide management of backups, testing and data integrity
• Assist in the deployment in the management and operation of the schools Learning Management System- Schoolbox

What you'll need to succeed 

• To be successful for this application, you will be Desktop Support professional with extensive experience in Windows 7-10, VMware, Microsoft Server 08-12, SQL and Windows OS
• Working knowledge of Synergetic School database, Konnect (Schoolbox) & Office 365
• Working with Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, HP Spectre, Surface Pro’s Ipads, Macs and BYOD
• Experience in RADIUS authentication, NPS, CA and VPN technology.
• Managing firewalls and security systems- Sophos Firewall & mailgaurd spam filtering, Milestone video & integrity security system
• Knowledge of working with mobile devices, associated applications, Ipad applications
• Excellent communication skills, documentation skills, 3rd party vendor management, senior stake holder engagement
• Previous school experience would be desirable, a diploma in Information Technology and a Working With Children’s Check
