My client is a Global Engineering Consultancy and a marker leader within major hydroelectric/dams projects.
We are currently seeking a Principal/Design Manager to work on major hydroelectric, water resources and other civil infrastructure projects in a multi-discipline project team environment and the successful candidate will be hands-on technically.
The role:

• Working within a multi-disciplinary environment you will be involved in conceptual design through preliminary and detail design and engineering
• You will act as the technical lead on certain projects
• You will be a good communicator and will report back to clients, stakeholders and senior management.
• You will be required to visit site teams to complement the related design activities

The ideal candidate:

• BSc or Degree in Civil/Hydro Engineering, with solid experience in hydropower engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of most facets of hydropower design including powerhouse, spillway and dam design.
• Ability to interface effectively within other cross disciplines such as geotechnical, civil/structural, E&M and environmental design team of a large project; understand multi-discipline design concepts depicted on project drawings.
• Strong analytical skills
